RYK programmes basic thrust is skill up-gradation and thus enhancing
employability. Job melas envisage direct jobs without the skill building
component. If at all job melas are organized, District Collectors shall follow
the procedure given below for implementation;
i. Industry / Business which has vacancies shall be enlisted with all
requisite details as given in the “Employer Registration” in the RYK
portal.
ii. As far as possible, suitable candidates may be pre-selected from the
data base maintained in the RYK portal or directly from the market.
iii. It is advisable that initial matching of employer and prospective
employee be done before actual meeting in the mela.
iv. Mobilization of thousands of youth shall be avoided
v. Job mela venue shall have proper facilities of reception, seating,
mike system, interviews, record keeping and drinking water etc
arrangements.
vi. After the interview is conducted and selection is completed ,before
closing the job mela a report should be prepared on number of
companies attended, categories & number of jobs offered, number of
candidates attended, number of appointment letters issued. Detailed
list of candidates who were issued call letters should prepare along
with name of the company and telephone number.

vii. The follow up of the placements shall be done after one month to
verify retentions. This will also help district administration
understand this process better and conducted job mela more
effectively and professionally. Under no circumstances thousands of
candidates should be mobilized without proper pre-selection
arrangements etc.
